About Me

Hi! Congratulations on your engagement!

Thank you so much for viewing my art.

I know your wedding day will be beautiful & full of love. I know this because God has ordained this moment for you and the love of your life.

God is Love.

My name is Rey Christian and my family calls me Whimboy. It means a miracle baby. I have three children, Diego, Essie and Tiago. I homeschool my children full time and it’s a riot. Half the time they are the ones homeschooling me about life. It’s the best. We are constantly surrounded with German Shepherds Blue and King everywhere we go. We also moved away from the city a few years ago during the pandemic and all and now we live in a lake house in Northern Virginia. Life is a lot simpler for us now. Time is a lot slower here but the vibe is always good. It’s home. It’s peaceful. Then on weekends, I turn into a rockstar wedding photographer to satisfy my passion for the art of photography. It’s an awesome gig. I’ve been a professional wedding photographer for 14 years now and it’s always a blessing to look back at the hundreds of engagements, weddings, events and life style portraits I’ve photographed over the years. It’s been a long ride and I’ve seen myself evolve in my visual storytelling throughout the years.

One thing remains the same though, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. I’m a pretty big Jesus guy. He’s done so much for me and I will always be forever grateful for His love. There is no greater love than this, that a man would give His life for a friend. He’s my inspiration for love. I’m also so grateful for all the couples He sent me along the way. I’ve made so much friends throughout this creative journey and it always brings me back to this thought…

As I’m writing this to you, I am imagining this scene.

I can perfectly imagine my clients 50 years from now.

Scene is a beautiful warm day with children running around. The house is full of life. Music is not loud but Andrea Boccelli’s voice is calming. That familiar scent of home cook food still lingers in the air even hours after the family lunch. Laughter and screams are heard from children playing. Some of the older kids try to step over the dogs sleeping on the floor in front of the kitchen door to not disturb their sleep. The sound of cello is heavenly though. Uncle James is passed out on the lazy boy while there’s a young mother pushed against the corner trying to survive her toddlers onslaught. The sister in law disapproves. A few other dad’s in the family are arguing about which pair of dad shoes are the best for mowing lawns. Siblings hanging out by the couch blasting their electronic music which quickly turns Bocelli’s voice to sound like Metallica.

And in the midst of it all,

it’s a lovely moment for you and your spouse who you’ve always thought to have looked more beautiful as they aged. I can see the both of you looking through your wedding photographs. Your memory sends you a quick bolt of emotion as you look at the wedding photographs I’ve captured. Both your smiles cause tears to fall down from your eyes. You remember all the love you felt. You remember what made you in love after all these years. Love is beautiful.

Some of your grandchildren notice all the commotion so they hurry to sit on your laps. Now the scene is in the living room. I can visualize your whole family from a good angle with light slowly peaking through the sheer curtain and your family is now looking through your wedding photographs with you and your spouse. Your children and grandchildren are huddled around you.

Then they ask you what your most treasured memory together was and you without hesitation, you say the day you married your best friend is your most treasured memory. You take a glance at each other’s eyes as your hands meet. You feel deeply loved and thank God for all those years you spent loving each other. You thank God for blessing you with someone so perfect to build a family with.

I want you to know that I always approach weddings with the same mindset all the time. I approach it with that same scene in my head so I always know what is on the line. Heirlooms. I know that the wedding photographs that I will capture will be passed on from generation to generation. It’s a pretty big deal. It’s a proof of your love. A physical proof. Concrete proof of what love should look like. I know it’s big stakes so I want to make sure you know how important your investment is. I am determined to paint a perfect picture and create beautiful memories for you and your spouse. I love weddings. I love everything about weddings. I know the magnitude of a wedding day. I want you to know that everything will be okay. I know wedding planning can be hectic so I want to remind you to enjoy the whole process of wedding planning. I’m here for you both.

Thank you so much for your time and for getting to know me. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to book a meeting. I would love to hear your story and God willing, we can both agree that I am the right fit to capture God’s love story for you both. I’m certain it will be a beautiful day full of miracles and blessings for you and your families.

Love is beautiful. Congratulations to you both again! Cheers to love. God is love.
